Hereward College of Further Education is located on Tile Hill Road in Coventry. Established in 1971, it has been providing further education to students from the age of 16 years and above. It offers full-time and part-time courses held during the day and evening. Courses offered include A Levels, GCSE, Foundation certificates and Higher National Diplomas.
Hereward College of Further Education has an extensive range of subjects on its curriculum. The GCSE course includes Media, Sociology, English Literature, Physical Education and Mathematics. The A Levels course offers subjects like Film Studies, Philosophy, Music Technology and Applied Business. Apart from these, there are many subjects in the Foundation and National Diploma levels. Some of the subjects are Performance Skills, Exercise Studies and Business.
Hereward College of Further Education has an Access centre mainly for students with disabilities. In fact, the college is renowned for the work it does for disabled students. The ACCESS Centre assesses the communication and study requirements of the students with disabilities, be it cerebral palsy, visual impairment or hearing impairment. The college was built for students with disabilities and it has wheelchair access, bathrooms and parking spaces especially for such students.
There are many services provided to the students such as personal tutors. There are three residential facilities at the college designed to meet the needs of students with disabilities. There are study bedrooms with call bell systems and smoke detectors.
