Located in Edinburgh, Edinburgh's Telford College was established in 1968 and offers students, both further education and higher education courses. Students can choose from a wide range of subjects such as, engineering, fine art, business and healthcare. Classes are available in full time and part time batches, and an open learning system is available for students who would like a more flexible system of learning. There are currently over 17000 students studying at Edinburgh's Telford College.
The college also operates an outreach centre, called Telford Learning, which offers a range of community courses as well as training programs for voluntary organizations. Edinburgh's Telford College also caters to the needs of the local business community, by offering a number of training programs that can help optimize business performance as well as motivate and develop the existing workforce.
Edinburgh's Telford College is also open to students from the international community and has an international student support cell, which offers assistance with accommodation, healthcare, and finding a part time job. The college also offers a number of special facilities and support services for its students. These include help in finding accommodation, assistance with career planning, or pursuing courses in higher education and procuring financial aid. Students are also encouraged to take advantage of their course guidance team and tutors, if they encounter any issues during their course term. A well-equipped Learning Resource Centre with numerous research materials and resources is also available.
