Canterbury College is located in the historic town of Canterbury and offers a wide range of courses for all kinds of students. Courses are available for people looking to upgrade their business as well as for students looking for leisure courses, skill-upgrading courses, school leaver programmes or classes aimed at helping people re-enter the workforce. Students thinking about joining can attend one of the college's Open Days to get a better idea of what the college offers. Course guidance interviews can also be arranged by appointment.
Canterbury College also offers its students a number of enrichment activities which include the opportunity to do voluntary work as well as gain valuable job experience. Students can also take part in a number of sport activities and gain access to career education and guidance. All students will learn to develop their Key Skills, which are IT, communication and the application and use of numbers.
Canterbury College offers a number of support services and facilities to its students, which include access to the Student Information Centre. This Centre offers students assistance and advice with regard to progression opportunities, whether it is to study further or enter the job market. The advice given is impartial, confidential and free. The college also offers financial assistance to eligible students as well as career guidance and access to the Carey Learning Resource Centre. The Centre has a large library and allows students to borrow tapes and CDs. There are also study areas and computer stations available.
