The Royal Holloway, University of London was founded in 1879 by two Victorian visionaries, Elizabeth Jesser Reid and Thomas Holloway. However, the Royal Holloway was constituted as a teaching university in 1900 and it was then when it was eventually admitted as Schools of the University of London. The College is famous for its Founder's Building, which is one of the most spectacular university buildings in the world. The college is considered among the top ten research-led university institutions in the United Kingdom.
The Royal Holloway, University of London offers a wide range of courses in science, arts, and humanities through its five departments. The departments include Academic department, Arts Faculty, History & Social Science Faculty, Science Faculty, and Academic Services & Administration.
At present, there are 7,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students in Royal Holloway. These students are of all ages and backgrounds, and they represent more than 120 countries from all over the world. The college’s spacious 135-acre campus provides an impressive range of modern academic and social facilities in parkland setting in Surrey.
