Goodenough College was established in 1930 as a residential college for students hailing from The Dominions. Today, the college serves as an important place where postgraduate students from a variety of disciplines and countries can interact. Currently there are over 600 students enrolled in the college representing over 90 different countries.
Students who are registered for postgraduate studies in London may apply. Applications are also welcome from students looking to specialize in the fields of music, art and drama. The college also provides short stay facilities for students and academics who visit London for research purposes.
Goodenough College is involved with a number of community projects both in London and around the world. On a local level, the college has assisted with night shelters and Habitats for Humanity. On an international scale, the college has sent teams on relief missions to countries like India and South Africa. With nearly 40 musicians in residence, music is also one of the important activities of the college. While there is a strong Christian community in the college, Goodenough College also emphasizes the exploration and celebration of other religions and faiths.
The college also holds a series of talks and seminars on a regular basis. These draw from the knowledge and experience of the college members and cover a wide range of topics in an informal manner. Seminars on job searching, interview tips and CV writing are also provided.
