The special feature of St. Dominic’s Sixth Form College is that, as soon as the students join the college, they join a tutor group that is maintained throughout the period of their stay in the college. The advantage of this system is that it leads to effective communication, support facilities, and administration ease. The tutor acts as a bridge between the students and the college, and provides all necessary information to both the students and parents. in addition, there are year managers and support staff who make up the pastoral team.
The mission of St. Dominic’s Sixth Form College is to give maximum support, quality education, and necessary opportunities to every student so that he or she can attain maximum potential. Individual advice on study skills and effective methods of improving performance are given to the students based on the strengths and weaknesses of each student.
At the time of admission, each student is assessed for individual needs and for any disabilities. A proper educational system is devised after taking into consideration all aspects of the student’s needs. Once the student joins the St. Dominic’s Sixth Form College, a number of educational facilities and student support systems are put into operation, to help the students achieve their maximum potential.
