Sir John Deane's College was formally established in 1978, though its origins can be traced back to 1557 when it was known as Sir John Deane's Grammar School. Based in Cheshire, England, the college offers a range of 2-year courses, adult education courses and short-term courses to suit the needs of students either looking to study further or for immediate employment after graduation.
The college offers a range of two-year courses for subjects such as business studies, design technology, environmental science, media studies, psychology and electronics. Adult education courses are also available for students looking to further develop their working skills or simply looking to learn something new. Programmes are available for subjects such as business, and will cover aspects of how to start a small business and attract customers. Training is also provided for computer training, from the basics to advanced computing skills.
Sir John Deane's College also offers a line of leisure courses which cover a range of subjects including language courses, flower arranging, creative writing, tap dancing and interior decorating. The college is also home to a Leisure Centre that offers a wide range of sports facilities for students and members of the public. The centre has a swimming pool, tennis courts, grassed pitches, dance studios, music halls and conference rooms. Student support services are also provided by the college as well as financial guidance and special facilities for disabled students.
