Ravensbourne College of Design and Communications offers under-graduate and postgraduate courses in the fields of design, communication and broadcasting which are awarded by the University of Sussex.
With around 1,400 students on the rolls, Ravensbourne is a popular destination for international students, with around 10 percent coming in from countries outside the European Union.
Ravensbourne has 24 modern furnished townhouses and a bungalow with basic items like a refrigerator and telephone that houses around a hundred students.
A university sector college, Ravensbourne College of Design and Communications is set in 18 acres of private parkland in Chislehurst, Bromley, to the southeast of London.
The college has large and airy open-plan studios and an extensive Learning Resource Centre with major course materials available online.
Ravensbourne offers pre-degree foundation courses in Art, Design, Broadcast Media and Computer Animation. Of the undergraduate courses, it offers a choice of 9 different BA (Honours) degrees in Animation, Broadcasting, Content Creation, Design and Fashion and a B.Sc (Honours) in Broadcast Technology.
The post-graduate degrees include an MA in Interactive Digital Media and an MA in Networked Media Environments, which are validated by the University of Sussex. Other than the degrees, Ravensbourne also offers short-term training programmes in Film, Animation, Fashion and Television.
Being a specialised training school, Ravensbourne in Bromley develops graduates whose skills are in current demand, and an in-house unit places the students with local and national businesses in the U.K.
Financial help for the payment of fees and living expenses are available to eligible students in the form of a new loan to cover tuition fees, living expenses, and non-repayable grants.
