The Marine Society College of the Sea is dedicated to enhance the educational welfare of the British professional seafarers, from all the sea services. The college has mutual agreements in place with many organisations like the Royal Navy, National Extension College, Merchant Navy Training Board, Royal Fleet Auxiliary, Nautilus UK, The Open University, London University, and Middlesex University, along with various companies, training providers, and professional bodies. All the courses are designed keeping seafarers in mind, which boils down to the fact that the courses are suited for distance learning, while at sea or home.
The Marine Society College of the Sea was launched in 1938 as a section of the Seafarers Education Service. The courses were designed keeping in mind that those at sea were missing the education that their counterparts ashore had access to. Learning & Skills Council funds the college. The Adult Learning Inspectorate has awarded the outstanding grade for the general performance achieved by the college.
You can choose from a wide range of subjects and degrees offered by Marine Society College of the Sea. The courses are flexible and you can fix your own schedule. You can correspond via any mode of communication. There are no fixed start and end dates. Apart from the discounted fees, the seafarers can also expect to get financial from the college. The staffs offer support and guidance to all the students.
