Leeds Thomas Danby is one of the leading vocational colleges providing a wide variety of Further Education and Higher Education courses for the age group of 16-18 years as well as for adult learners. The college offers courses in Baking, Hospitality, Catering, Meat Technology, Art and Design, Childcare, Performing Arts, Hairdressing, Sport and Fitness and others. The well-qualified staffs are devoted in offering effective learning experiences in a supportive atmosphere. Leeds Thomas Danby offers world-class training to individuals as well as the corporate sector. The College works in partnership with Yorkshire Forward, Ethnic Food Action Group Limited and the Learning and Skills Council on this aspect. Cuisines covered include Japanese, Chinese, Caribbean, Thai, Mediterranean, Mexican, Italian and Asian.
The college Community Sports Centre offers a wide variety of sporting activities to the students. There is a huge turf pitch that is suitable for games like football and hockey. There is also a modern fitness studio where the students have the option of exercising. The centre offers activities to people of all ages like training, coaching sessions, nutrition advice and similar. The college has a friendly atmosphere and all students from diverse backgrounds are welcome at the college. The college prepares the students to face the real world.
