Hills Road Sixth Form College was established in 1974 and is situated in Cambridge. It provides many courses including AS and A Level courses for 16 to 19 year olds as well as adult part time courses with classes mainly in the evenings. There around 1800 students in the AS and A levels and around 4000 students in the adult part time education programme. The college believes in diversity and equality of students and has a race equality policy, a disability and a gender equality scheme.
Hills Road Sixth Form College offers several subjects in its full-time AS and A Level courses. Students can choose from a multitude of subjects such as Accounting, Drama and Theatre Studies, Modern History and Religious Studies. GCSE courses are also provided in Maths and English. Adult education courses include Computing, Modern Languages, and Art and Design. Students get a chance to make international trips through the exchange programme of the college.
There are plenty of extra-curricular activities for students as part of the enrichment programme. Students of Hills Road Sixth Form College can participate in various sports like badminton, football, volleyball and tennis. Music enthusiasts can be part of the Jazz Band, Chamber Choir or Brass Ensemble. Various theatre productions are staged throughout the year as well and various societies like the Debating and Film Society are also there. The college also has a Sports and Tennis Centre.
