College Profile

Havant College is located in South East Hampshire. It is a Sixth Form College, which offers full time courses for 16 to 19 year olds, in addition to adult learning and Business training. It provides Level 2 and Level 3 courses which enable students to continue with their higher education. It offers education to more than 2000 adults every year.

Havant College has a large number of courses on offer for the AS and A2 Levels. The college also has the distinction of having a 99% pass rate at the Advanced level and 100% pass rate in GCSE in 2006. The full time courses that are offered in the college cover various subjects such as, accounting, communication studies, government and politics, archaeology, geology, and performance studies. The part time adult education centre has many courses and covers areas like information technology, business administration, British sign language, electric guitar, and salsa for beginners. Some of these courses award diplomas or certificates on completion.

The facilities provided at Havant College are of high standards. There is a library and information centre, a sports hall, a campus shop, refectory, a dance, and drama studio. Students have fun with events, organised by the student union like the Christmas and Summer Balls, Charity Fashion Show, and Theatre Trips. There are also sports clubs for hockey, cricket, and badminton. An Annual Art and Design exhibition is held where works of AS and A2 students are displayed.
