Harlow College is situated in Harlow in the county of Essex. It offers several courses with full time courses for 16 to 19 year olds, part time adult learning courses, apprenticeships, entry-level courses, and journalism courses. The college houses a Sixth form college and skills academy which is for school leavers and provides courses in many subjects. There is a guidance centre on the campus and financial support is also available for eligible students.
The full time courses at Harlow College include AS, A2 levels, as well as entry-level courses. Subjects in these courses include entry-level performing arts, AS level film studies, AS/A2 level photography, and diplomas in travel and tourism, engineering and sport. The part time adult learning programme includes many subjects for career development and essential skills. Subjects in this programme include Information Technology, engineering, hospitality, catering, and teacher training.
The Journalism Centre at Harlow College started in 1964 and it provides opportunities in photojournalism and online journalism. Students can obtain their BA (Honours) Degree in Journalism and even postgraduate degree in newspapers or magazines. It is the oldest provider of journalism training in the UK.
The apprenticeship programme is open to all the students aged between 16 and 25 years. Prospective students can submit the online application form or collect a form from the college campus. Facilities in the Harlow College include science laboratories, Business Development Centre, I.T. Training room, and a lecture theatre.
