College Profile

Greenwich Community College is an institute which offers further education for post secondary students as well as adult education. It has over 20,000 students and more than 800 staff. The college has nine centres and the main campus is at Plumstead Road. It offers various full-time as well as part-time courses.

There are many departments at Greenwich Community College providing different courses. Some of these departments are Maths, Science and Technology, Health and Social Care, English, Humanities and Modern Foreign Languages section. There is also a Basic Education and Foundation section as well as an Adult and Community section. Most of these courses have four levels, a Foundation, an Intermediate, an Advanced and a Higher Education course level.

All courses are not available at all the centres so students will have to check with the college to see which centre they need to go to for specific courses. The Greenwich Community College also has a G Plus department. This is for students aged between 16 to 19 years. This course has three levels. The first level is the Foundation course which includes Key skills, the second level is the Intermediate course with GCSE and the third level is the Advanced Level which includes A and AS level courses.

The college provides many facilities like the cafeteria, learning resource centre, childcare centre and the Recreation and Sports programme for all the students.
