East Durham and Houghall Community College offers higher educational opportunities to students and the programs have been carefully designed, taking into consideration the current demands and needs of the industry, community and the students. The institution keeps updating its equipments and teaching aides constantly, to ensure that the students are trained using the latest equipments in the field. This will help improve their learning experience, as well as preparing them for their work environments.
East Durham and Houghall Community College offers entry to employment programs for students aged 16-18. There are full and part time programs including several short courses. They can train students for entry-level jobs or prepare them for higher education, in fields of their choice. Adult learners and international students are also welcome. The institution also offers services to the local businesses for which, it has a dedicated team of instructors, who have vast experience in training work force. There are assessors to who may study your business, analyze the goals and needs, and design custom training to ensure that the goals of the institution are met. The institution is also part of the North East Employer Training Pilot.
East Durham and Houghall Community College offers student support services such as, learner support and additional learner support, tutors, and assistance in securing financial aid. The institution also offers its support to students with disabilities and to students who suffer from Dyslexia. Childcare support, career guidance, and counselling services are also available to the students.
