Clydebank College was established as a technical college in 1965. It has two campuses, one at Clydebank and the other at Dumbarton. The Principal and Chief Executive of the college is Matt Mochar. The college offers many courses that can be studied full-time, part-time and on an open or flexible learning basis. The qualifications awarded at Clydebank College are many. These are Higher National Certificate, Higher National Diploma, National Qualification, National Certificate, Scottish Group Awards and Modern Apprenticeships. Full-time courses include visual and performing arts, media and communication, engineering, administration and social sciences.
The part-time courses offered by the college include various subjects such as language, media, science, hospitality and business. Many leisure courses are also available which include Salsa, Indian Head Massage, Creative Writing, Guitar, Home Decorating and Wine Tasting. Open or Flexible learning opportunities are there at Clydebank College. Students can study from home at their convenience and will have access to a tutor from the college. Some of the subjects that can be studied with this method are Word Processing, Health Promotion, Introduction to Psychology, Statistics and Mental Health Issues.
