Based in Manchester, Bury College has been awarded the National Award of Beacon Status and offers a wide range of sixth form and apprenticeship courses and a number of full time and part time programmes. Students, who are interested in joining, can drop by the college during their Open Evenings to learn more about the courses offered, opportunities, and the college facilities.
Students can find a number of sixth form courses at Bury College. These include AS/A Level programmes, NVQ 3, Vocational Level 3 and National Diploma courses. The college also offers a Mentoring for Excellence programme, where students with good grades can work together with an experienced tutor in order to reach their maximum potential, both inside and outside school.
Bury College offers full time and part time courses as well as higher education programmes. The college also has a number of apprenticeship opportunities for students as well as Access programmes for students looking to enter further education or higher education courses. The college also offers a free training program called Skills.com that teaches skills such as writing reports, sending e-mails, communication skills, confidence building and creating presentations. Students can also take advantage of the college facilities, which include a number of science labs, a sports hall, learning resource centres, a theatre, language lab, and IT access.
