The Birmingham College of Food, Tourism and Creative Studies is based in Birmingham England and offers a wide range of courses for students looking for a post graduate degree or for developing skills to enter the job market. The college offers foundation degree courses, vocational classes and undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs as well.
The college has a well-equipped campus which includes a health and leisure club, salons, food and beverage test laboratories, a video production suite and demonstration theatres. Some of these facilities are also open to the public and gives students an opportunity to gain practical work skills in a supervised environment.
The Birmingham College of Food, Tourism and Creative Studies offers foundation degree courses in subjects like beauty and hair, sports therapy, retail, food, business and marketing. The college also offers tailor-made courses which can be either based around an existing course or follow a completely different design. These courses can be arranged for special groups or staff. Short courses are also available to students for fields such as food hygiene.
The college welcomes students from the international community and currently has students from over 65 countries enrolled. Students are received at the airport and taken to their accommodation. Guidance is also given for tasks such as shopping or bank transactions. A special Liaison Officer is also on hand to help international students with any problems they may have regarding immigration, academic issues or personal problems.
