Barnsley College is located in South Yorkshire England and offers a wide range of part time, full time courses, as well as apprenticeship courses for students. The college also offers special life skill development classes for adults. Various accommodation schemes are available to its students.
Barnsley College offers a range of student services, like counselling students who may be dealing with issues such as anxiety or depression. A number of learning information services are also offered including personal advisors, financial assistance and welfare advice. Two learning resources centres are equipped with various kinds of learning materials as well as a Virtual Learning Environment.
The college offers full time and part time courses for a variety of subjects including business administration, IT, mathematics, public services and science. Apprenticeship programs are offered for students who would like to gain work skills while on the job in fields such as accountancy, construction, horticulture and engineering. Barnsley College also runs a ‘Skills for Life’ program which offers classes for adults in subjects such as literacy, office skills and child care.
The college also provides the Aimhigher program, which aims to help students develop their career skills which help them find the job that is best suited. The program offers an array of different courses as well as different studying techniques to motivate and inspire students.
