Aquinas College is located in UK and was founded in 1980. It is a Catholic sixth form college which is currently under the ownership of the Diocese of Shrewsbury. Apart from ordinary sixth form courses, the college also runs adult education programs which anyone in the community can attend. There are currently 1800 students enrolled.
The philosophy of Aquinas College is based on the Gospel and the college strives to provide a supportive Christian environment for students to study and grow as well as make informed decisions about their future. A chaplaincy is available on campus which provides all kinds of support for both students and staff. Chapel services are held every morning.
Aquinas College offers programs at both Level 2 and Level 3. Students can choose from a range of courses including communication studies, computing, economics and general studies. Employment Awareness Courses are also available to help students decide what they would like to pursue after graduation.
A variety of student support services are available including a Learning Support team to help out with any problems students may face with their studies. Retreats are also held on a regular basis to help students spiritually. Aquinas College has a number of adult education programs which are held at St. Bernadette's Center. Apart from having a wide range of courses, the college also provides a robust support system to its students. This includes help with financial difficulties and getting extra help with developing study skills.
